18/02/2026
Ariston Group and Politecnico di Milano have signed a new Framework Agreement for scientific collaboration and an Implementing Agreement in the field of sustainable space and water heating and cooling.
The five-year Framework Agreement includes the launch of new research projects, training activities, and employer branding and recruiting initiatives delivered by the Politecnico’s Career Service, as well as collaboration to identify funding opportunities at both national and international levels.
“Research and development are a cornerstone of Ariston Group’s strategy, and, over the years, we have focused on cutting-edge technologies, new sustainable refrigerants and advanced digital solutions,” stated Paolo Merloni, Executive Chairman of Ariston Group. “In a global scenario where growth and competitiveness increasingly depend on the ability to innovate, strengthening our collaboration with Politecnico di Milano means bringing together academic excellence and industrial knowhow to continue investing in the future — of our group, of our industry, but also of Europe.”
“We are living in a phase in which innovation is no longer linear. It is systemic, interconnected, accelerated. It requires multidisciplinary expertise, industrial capabilities, strategic vision, and a strong integration between research and application. It is in this context that the relaunch of the Joint Research Platform between Ariston Group and Politecnico di Milano takes on strategic significance,” added Donatella Sciuto, Rector of Politecnico di Milano. “Only through a structured, stable, and sustainability-oriented collaboration is it possible to generate real innovation capable of influencing the growth dynamics of the coming years.”
